2011 Mincer Award
Presented April 30, 2011 at the 18th Annual Meetings to
Ronald G. EhrenbergIrving M. Ives Professor of Industrial and Labor Relations and Economics at Cornell University. Ronald Ehrenberg is considered by the committee to be one of the great researchers from our field. From his early work on public sector employment; to his later work on unemployment insurance, pensions, retirement, tournaments, and comparable worth; to his work in the last twenty years on the economics of higher education; to his coauthorship of the first and best labor economics textbook, he has exemplified the highest standards of both academic and policy-related research in labor economics.
